Home Guard Helmet.
Khaki painted Mk.II No.2C mild steel helmet issued to the Home Guard. The mild steel helmet was an attempt to redress the shortage of helmets available to civilian organisations post Dunkirk and was signified, as in this case, by the drilling of three holes to the rim.
This example in good condition with original textured, khaki finish with some abrasions and areas of missing paint.Clean, size 7 liner , dated 1940 . Good, clean example.
