Wartime utility radio.
A good example of a Wartime Civilian Receiver or \'Utility Radio\'.
Manufactured by Bush Radio as indicated by the U1 tag to the reverse the WCR was an attempt to standardise radio production in Britain in order to make economies in valuable radio production. The design was made by a wide number of manufacturers and attempts were made to make it generally available in an effort to boost morale. This example is in generally good condition (suggest a professional inspects it before attempting to make it work) with some splitting of the speaker cover and an addition to the stations on the tuning dial.
Wartime Civilian Receiver transfer present and legible to the top of the case. Case in clean un-woodwormed condition with some minor surface abrasions. HEAVY ITEM
