Home Guard Helmet.
Khaki painted Mk.II No.2B mild steel helmet issued to the Home Guard. The mild steel helmet was an attempt to redress the shortage of helmets available to civilian organisations post Dunkirk and was signified, as in this case, by the drilling of two holes to the rim.
This example in excellent condition with original textured, khaki finish with some abrasions. Clean, size 7 liner by Vero, dated 1940 with a deformed crown buffer. Excellent example.
