Enamel Shelter Sign.

Superb example of an early War Public Shelter sign. Measuring 60cms x 30cms approx. and in striking black and yellow enamel this example was made by ' Chromo ' Wolverhampton. The Chromographic Enamel Company, Ltd., Dudley Road, Wolverhampton was a large producer of vitreous enamel products that specialised in signs, they ceased trading in the 1960's. In excellent condition with some very minor chips this would be hard to better.
