Wartime ' Playbox ' Comics.

Scarce survivors, wartime editions of the ' Playbox ' children's comic. Various editions from across the war period full of largely non warlike but often hugely politically incorrect ( in modern terms ) story lines. Various hints of the period are given by adverts and editorials encouraging salvage and patriotic exhortations. Wartime comics are uncommon survivors because of the poor quality paper and the likelihood of them being salvaged for the war effort. Good, used condition with light marking, tears and rips.
