C1945 1st ed. 95pgs ' Singer in World War II 1939-1945 ' the wartime history of the Singer Manufacturing Company. Based in Clydebank, Scotland Singers were famous for their manufacture of sewing machines, they quickly diversified into a wide range or war related manufacturing including Sten guns, bayonets, fuzes and Merlin components. Good history with numerous b/w photographs and illustrations showing wartime production including a section on the bombing of Clydebank in 1941. Good, used condition with some marking to board covers.
