Postcard depicting the interior of the New Tube Shelter in Camden Town used as a greeting card. The New Tube shelters were part of a planned development of ten deep level shelters built across London constructed from the outset as air raid shelters. These shelters would have capacity for thousands and included facilities such as canteens. Of the eight actually constructed all remain.
