' Our Gang ' Fireman Figure.

Caricature ceramic figure of a Fireman part of the 'Our Gang' series of figurines produced by the Devon based Bovey Pottery. Produced from October 1940, designed by Gwyneth Hall and Fenton Wyness the series included a pilot, warden, ATS girl, recruiting sergeant amongst others, production was scaled back to the more popular figures including Churchill. This example produced in a white unglazed biscuit and is in generally good condition with some light marking and a small chip to the underside of the figure's helmet. A scarce figure priced at half the value of an undamaged example.
