Royal Ordnance Factory lapel badge - No.14.
Gilded alloylapel badge with pin back fitting for Royal Ordnance Factory No.14. which was R.O.F. Rotherham, Maltby which was an engineering factory. There is some debate that this could also be for No.14 filling factory at Ruddington.
These badges were introduced in 1940 for workers at the various factories across the UK but were phased out from 1942 because of the their consumption of valuable raw materials.
This badge made by T.L.M.Ltd, B'ham and is numbered 8075 to reverse. Dulled guilding to obverse, with rubbing to highlights.
