WVS Housewives Section window card.

190mm x 190mm Window card for the WVS Housewives Section. Printed by Fosh & Cross in 1942 and designed to be placed in the windows of members of the WVS who were unable to leave home because of domestic commitments but were trained to help the Civil Defence services in their locality. This was previously known as the Housewives Service(SEE item 7189) and was renamed in 1942 demanding a new design of card. In good, clean condition with some very minor marks.
