Wartime Police Helmet - Nottinghamshire.

An excellent example of the patten of helmet worn by the police during WW2 featuring blackened fittings and helmet plate. The king's crown plate is for Nottinghamshire Constabulary. Approx. size 7 and in excellent used condition with some very light areas of moth grazing and rubbing of high points of metal fittings. Supple leather headband with no visible manufacturer markings typical of police helmets. Uncommon.
