Shrapnel Collection.

Contained in a grubby Thornes' Toffee tin, the collection mostly consists of AA fuze fragments with a small number of bomb fragments. This was formerly the property of a resident of a house in Armley, Leeds and was recently found in a house clearance. Probably collected during the raids of 1941 which were at their heaviest on the night of 14/15th March. A survivor of a popular Wartime pastime with provenance. Heavy item.
