Early '40 Pat. Battledress Blouse bearing the insignia of the 12th Northamptonshire ( Northampton ) Battalion Home Guard in the form of printed ' NN12 ' shoulder insignia . Large size 16 BD to fit for 6ft to 6ft 2" with worn, indistinct label with 1940 WD inspection stamp. Lieutenant's rank to both shoulder straps with printed Home Guard shoulder titles to both arms with green lanyard to r/h shoulder and printed War service chevron to same arm indicating four years of service. In very much ' out of the woodwork ' condition, slightly grubby with heavy wear to cuffs and one easily repairable tear just below the collar. The l/h pocket contains a home made, newspaper cut out decoration, probably a souvenir of the Christmas 1944 Stand Down celebrations.
