Pressed Steel Co. Factory Badge.

Enamel and chrome lapel badge worn by workers of the Pressed Steel Co., Cowley. PSC were one of the main contractors involved in the manufacture of the Civilian Protective Helmet often called the ' Zuckerman ' and their trademark demonstrated by this badge is seen stamped into the rims of these helmets ( SEE image 3 ). This particular example has some minor enamel damage and has had the lapel fitting with an overall button braised to the reverse in a classic ' make do & mend ' repair.
