Austin, Longbridge Home Guard Anti-Aircraft Ashtray.

Stamped brass with enamelled medallion commemorating 231 ( 108 Warwickshire HG ) AA Rocket Battery. This unit was based at Longbridge, Birmingham and drew it's members from the Austin employees. The ashtray was probably produced in the Longbridge plant and was available via the Time Office for collection only as distribution costs were deemed prohibitive . Good, used condition, patinated with undamaged enamel. Uncleaned.
