SFP Helmet.

A 1941 dated example of the Fire Watcher's or Zuckerman pattern Civilian Protective helmet marked for members of a Supplementary or Street Fire Party. Manufactured by the Pressed Steel Company, Cowley whose logo is stamped to the inner rim along with the date. Marked ' S.F.P. ' in stencilled letters to front with a multi-coloured stencil to the rim, which I believe to be a sector identifier. In good, used condition with minor areas of wear and corrosion to paint.
