Repair Party/Gas Helmet.

1939 dated MkII helmet by Briggs Motor Bodies for wear by members of Gas Repair Parties. These parties were created from workers form the relevant utilities and linked to the CD services. Size 6 3/4 MkII liner by the Teddy Toy Company . Clearly marked with painted designation to front and rear and manufacturer's details to helmet rim and liner. Good overall condition with some minor surface corrosion.
