Essex Home Guard Greatcoat.

British Army WW2 khaki greatcoat, standard other ranks type, 1940 dated, Size 4, bearing the insignia of a lieutenant of the 4th Essex ( Romford ) Battalion Home Guard. Gilt rank pips to both shoulder straps with printed ' ESX4 ' and ' Home Guard ' insignia to both arms. Indistinct manufacturer's label to the partially lined interior but date and size evident. Good, clean condition with some very minor moth damage. Heavy item.
