Embroidered cotton on wool WVS armband. Introduced in 1943 for members of the WVS not in possession of uniform who were engaged on work where 'recognition of status is desirable'. This example has the addition of three printed war service chevrons sewn on. In excellent, used condition with one very small moth nip to the reverse.
