Fellowship of the Bellows Lapel Badges.

A bit of a departure, but an interesting variation to wartime fund raising. This small collection of lapel badges were produced by the Fellowships of the Bellows was a fundraising organisation active in Latin America, initially Argentina but spreading to the rest of South America during WW2 aimed at raising money to purchase aircraft for the Royal Air Force. Its name, organisation and rituals parodied masonic-like fraternities with the badges indicating the level of contribution with ranks from ' puffs ' to ' hurricane '. Further successful contributions allowed wings to be added indicating entrance to the Order of the Bellows. A very successful fund raising campaign resulted in the creation of Squadron 193, the ' Brazilian Squadron ' and later a Mosquito squadron was formed, 692 Sqn. This grouping of badges includes the insignia for the highest member of the Order. Uncommon and an interesting adjunct to the Home Front.
