MTC Shoulder Title.
Embroidered cotton on wool shoulder title worn by members of the Mechanised Transport Corps. Initially formed as the MTTC in 1939 to ' train officers for various women's organisations and render any aid '. This aid was largely centred on driving and this uniformed, voluntary Corps set about aiding the various civil defence services. Following service in France the Corps was renamed the MTC in 1940. In excellent, used condition with evidence of having been removed from a uniform and scarce.
