Tin and celluloid, pinback lapel badge for the West Riding of Yorkshire WVS Housewives Section. The Housewives Section were members of the WVS who were unable to leave home because of domestic commitments but were trained to help the Civil Defence services in their locality. This was previously known as the Housewives Service and was renamed in 1942. Good, used condition with some light marking. Scarce.
