Unique to the Home Guard, this webbing loop had two buckles attached which provided the fastening for the supporting braces for the pouches. The sleeve was then slid over the HG pattern leather belt which was narrower than the standard '37 pattern belt - hence the need for the sleeve. Maker marked but indistinct with a 1943 date to the reverse and in excellent, used condition. Scarce.
