Ministry of Supply Salvage Steward's plastic, pinback badge. Introduced from 1942 for full-time employees of shops and offices who were appointed by local authorities as stewards to oversee the efficient collection of salvageable materials such as scrap metal, cardboard, paper etc. Good clean undamaged example, maker marked to reverse F&G ( Fraser & Glass ) and less easily acquired compared with it's red cousin.
