Civil Defence Battledress Blouse (Rescue Austerity)

1943 dated CD Battledress Blouse (Rescue Austerity). This size 2 blouse was produced by the Rego Clothiers Ltd and is a small size designed for someone 5'4" or under. The austerity pattern was a simplified design that dispensed with pocket pleats and other economising measures. Good, moth free condition which has some minor evidence of previous insignia being present, now removed. The previous owner has also replaced the buttons with the plastic CD buttons more commonly seen on later female tunics and this characteristic and the small size suggests this was issued to a woman. Clean label to the interior.
