ARP Pattern 58 trousers were for general distribution across all Civil Defence services. ' Much like the army battledress, the trousers featured two slant pockets, a rear buttoned pocket, a leg pocket on the leg and a bandage pocket on the front right. Buttons on the rear waistband allowed the battledress blouse to be buttoned to the trousers.' ( ww2civildefence.co.uk ).
These examples are in good, used condition with a smattering of v.minor moth holes, one larger 8mm hole to one leg and a similar size snag to the same leg. Label missing with a residual remnant to the seam. Button missing to dressing pocket. Inspection stamp to the lining indicates manufacture in 1942. Perfectly serviceable pair of trousers approx. 33" waist, 32" inside leg.
