Brass and enamel lapel badge for the London Auxiliary Ambulance Service. The LAAS was spawned from the London Volunteer Ambulance Service formed in 1938 and was renamed on the outbreak of war. The badge was introduced sometime in 1940/41.
Manufactured by Roden, London this example is in good, used condition with a minor surface abrasion and marked 1939 to reverse. Increasingly uncommon.
