WLA Ten Year Service Award.

A scarce example of the Ten Year Service award for the Women's Land Army. Cast gilt and enamel, pinback badge made by J.R.Gaunt, London. This was accompanied by a certificate bearing an impression of the badge and was awarded for 10 years ' good ' service and was only ever awarded to a small number of Land Girls, consequently difficult to find and would rate alongside the Timber Corps silver badge in scarcity. Lovely fresh gilding with polished highlights and undamaged enamel.
