Gilded brass lapel badge with half moon fitting for Royal Ordnance Factory No.16. .No.16 was ROF Elstow, Bedford(Filling Factory No. 16).
These badges were introduced in 1940 for workers at the various factories across the UK but were phased out from 1942 because of their consumption of valuable raw materials.
This badge made by T.L.M.Ltd, B'ham and is numbered 1900 to reverse. Dulled guilding to reverse with light rubbing bright obverse, lapel fitting.
