Scottish Eastern Division NFS Helmet.
Scotland divided its NFS Divisions into six area designations instead of the numbered regions adopted by England. This example is for the ' Eastern ' division, No.4 Fire Force with its HQ in Dundee. Interestingly this helmet seems to have been issued to two members with an earlier Division designation painted over to the reverse. The interior rim also features a set of initials in black and a number in white indicating re-issue or re-assignment. The helmet is 1939 dated, with details to the rim and is fitted with a MkI, size 7, 1939 dated liner by Briggs Motor Bodies. Good example of an NFS MkII helmet form the less commonly encountered Scottish Fire Command.
