Special Constabulary Helmet.

MkII helmet for wear by a Sergeant in the Special Constabulary. Black painted helmet with applied decal of Sergeant rank stripes surmounted by ' POLICE ' and fencircled ' S C '. These have been executed with a combination of stencils and applied decals. Manufacturer details indicate manufacture by Briggs Motor Bodies in 1939. Helmet has a MkI, 1939 dated liner by Vero, size 7. Helmet has light pitting with approx 45% of the original paintwork and some abrasions etc., liner in clean, undamaged condition.
