Bomb Reconnaissance armband.

Original printed cotton armlet for trained Civil Defence Bomb Reconnaissance Officers. Authorised for wear in 1942 the armlet was worn by those CD personnel who had passed the regional BR course. Their job was to positively identify UXBs before they were assigned to the Royal Engineers BD teams. In excellent, clean condition with some minor storage marks and folds . Clearly demonstrates the bleed through of the dyes to the reverse common to original wartime examples and absent on the numerous copies. Uncommon.
