Helliwells Aircraft National Service badge.

Gilt and enamel lapel badge for an employee of Helliwells Aircraft. Based at Walsall airfield, they specialised in aircraft repairs and maintenance and later went on the build large sub-structures. They went on to form a flying school in 1943.
Numbered to obverse with lapel fitting to reverse, manufacturer marked ' Thos Fattorini, B'ham '. Good, used condition with minor abrasions.
