1st 1947 ' Idle Women ' by Susan Woolfitt. 223pg account of the war work undertaken by a volunteer on the inland waterways of Britain. The ' I.W.' national service badge produced for these often female volunteers produced the nickname of ' Idle Women '. Some illustrations and diagrams. Good used condition with chipped and creased d/w. Is available in pbk but uncommon in original format.
