WVS Civil Defence Home Canned labels.

In order to promote the preservation of fruit and vegetables the M.O.F. looked for new ways to preserve fruit and other produce and organised professional canning. Using the existing WVS food demonstrators and harnessing the W.I. canning machines were lent to specific centres where batches of fruit and veg were prepared and canned and these labels were produced for this purpose.
