Iconic August 31 1940 edition of Picture Post showing the archetypical image of a fighter pilot. Taken in July, this photo of Keith Gillman posthumously became the iconic image of a Battle of Britain pilot. Gilman was shot down off Dover on Sunday 25/08/40 flying a 32 Sqn. Hurricane - his image lives on and is to be seen in numerous publications on the Battle of Britain. Highly sought after this edition in reasonable condition with some tears and areas of rubbing, the main image however, is undamaged.
