NFS Women's cap.

National Fire Service women's ' ski ' cap. On general issue from 1943, the reinforced cotton, peaked ski cap was intended to replace the FS style cap for wear on duty when not wearing a helmet.
Probably unissued with no evidence of having had a badge. Size 6 7/8 by J.Collett and dated 1944. Two very minor areas of damage, a minor scuff to peak with a 2mm moth nip tp underside edge of the peak.
