Gilt and enamel lapel badge worn by a member of the Bristol War-Time Entertainers. Stemming from an idea by the editor of the Bristol Evening Post, John Bennett,
to try and reach small units of troops in the local area who were stuck in the middle of nowhere, often only with a radio for amusement. With a group of musicians, comedians, actors, who would all travel out to often muddy fields to perform with a donated bus from the Bristol Omnibus Company.
Lapel fitting to the reverse marked ' H.W.Miller, B'ham ' and in good, used condition. Uncommon.
