Air Raid Warden's Helmet.

An above average example of a MkII helmet worn by an ARP Warden. Shell by J.S.S. ( Joseph Sankey & Sons ), dated 1939 with a size 7, 1939 dated Mk I liner by BMB ( Briggs Motor Bodies ). Neatly stencilled ' W ' to front and rear featuring a high gloss black finish. The original owner has pushed an envelope with some acetate gas goggles between the lining ready for use.With some scrapes and rubs this remains one of the better examples .
