Anti gas ointment No. 2.

Commercially procured jar of Anti gas ointment No. 2 produced by F.W.Hampshire & Co.Ltd. The ointment was prepared primarily to counteract Mustard Gas which had come in contact with exposed skin, whether as liquid, spray or vapour. It could be applied as a thin film to the skin as a preventive, or as a remedy after contamination. The ointment is made of bleach powder and white petroleum jelly. In good condition with contents now solidified, some scuffing to label.
