Anti gas ointment No. 2.

Official issue jar of Anti gas ointment No. 2. The ointment was prepared primarily to counteract Mustard Gas which had come in contact with exposed skin, whether as liquid, spray or vapour. It could be applied as a thin film to the skin as a preventive, or as a remedy after contamination. The ointment is made of bleach powder and white petroleum jelly. In good condition with contents now solidified, light corrosion to lid.
