Home Guard Post Office Battalion helmet.

1941 dated MKII 3 helmet worn by a member of the Post Office Home Guard. Khaki painted with stencilled ' GPO ' to the front. Manufacturer marked and dated by Briggs Motor Bodies with a size 7 liner by the same manufacturer. Three holes drilled to either side of the rim indicating the lower standard of ballistic protection offered by this mark of helmet. Good, used condition.
