Small Child's ' Mickey Mouse ' Respirator - variation.

Originally the small child's respirator was produced in a child friendly orange rubber with a blue coloured filter similar to the American produced child's mask that was specifically designed to look like Mickey Mouse and to be less frightening to children. Most of these examples are dated to the period 1940-41. This all black example produced to the same pattern, was produced at the end of 1942 manufactured by the Leyland and Birmingham Rubber Company Ltd,and it is assumed was done as an economy measure. Found in far fewer numbers than it's orange counterpart this example is in good used condition with some stress marks to rubber body with accompanying box in a/f condition.
