8th Essex, Colchester Battalion Uniform & Shirt.

BD blouse and shirt named to a member of the 8th Essex, ( Colchester ) Battalion Home Guard. Large, Size 17 tunic - Height: 6' - 6'2" Chest: 41-43" Waist 36-37" bearing the rank of Lieutenant to both shoulders ( one pip contemporaneously replaced ) with printed Home Guard shoulder titles and ESX 8 unit designations. Tunic in largely good + condition with grubby interior and some minor moth damage to pockets and front face, all easily repairable. Accompanied by an officer's cotton shirt with detachable collar bearing the name ' E.N.Farrar ' who has been confirmed to be serving with the unit in Home Guard List for 1944.
