1945 Butlins souvenir ashtray.

Brass with brass and enamel centre souvenir ashtray from Butlins camp at Filey. Many of the Butlins camps were requisitioned by the Government for the duration, Filey being one. However, the Government recognised the importance of holiday centres and were quick to return some of them back to Butlins in 1945. This souvenir ashtray features an enamel Butlins badge with a prominent 'V' and 1945 as it's centrepiece, the badges themselves tend to be uncommon. In good condition with one small piece of missing enamel.
