A collection of diaries to a University of Liverpool engineering undergraduate and English Electric apprentice accompanied by a shrapnel collection. Including diaries for 1939/40,41 and 43 some of which are sparsely filled, others filled with entries pertaining to engineering, bird watching, and Home Guard duties. Also has an entry for 1941 detailing bombing incidents, accompanied by cuttings and other ephemera. Extensive shrapnel collection with shell, bomb and fuze fragments.
