Grand Union Canal National Service badge.

Brass and enamel National Service lapel badge for the Grand Union Carrying Co. This particularly scarce badge, numbered 70, has a half moon lapel fitting with ' Thom Fattorini, B'ham ' manufacturer to the reverse. The badge comes from one of the companies who used the canals for transportation during the war with the ' Idle Women ' being amongst them. In good, used condition with some minor abrasions to the surface.
