Brass and enamel cap badge for a driver with the Petroleum Board. Marked 'J.R.Gaunt,London ' to the reverse. .The "Petroleum Board" handled the distribution and rationing of petroleum products during the war and used uniformed staff to make it's deliveries. This particular example was used by a driver who made deliveries to the RAF airfields in Lincolnshire. In used condition with damage to the enamel.
