An influential title by the left wing, International Brigades veteran Tom Wintringham. Drawing on lessons from the Spanish Civil War this 128 page ' Penguin Special ' deals with everything from home-made grenades, road blocks, anti tank ditches and everything required to fight a ' People's War '.
Written in 1940 these methods were taught at the Home Guard school at Osterley Park which Wintringham helped to establish.
A good clean copy with minor foxing, slightly chipped spine and named to front cover.
