Butterfly bomb wings.

Spring loaded wings from an SD2 ' Butterfly Bomb '. SD2s were armed as the hinged, spring loaded wings opened and rotated relative to the bomb body. The bomb either exploded on impact, after a delay or when disturbed.
This set of wings is complete with the rod that attached to the fuze which the wings rotated to arm the fuze. Although in as found condition the wings retain a reasonable amount of the original paint and markings are visible . There are areas of corrosion but no holes, might merit restoration, but is an above average relic. Sadly no history.
